Indian railways are one of the largest railways in the world. There are a large number of trains running on a daily basis from the all the corners of the countries and connecting different parts of India. It is very difficult to keep a record of all the trains as all of them have different arrival and departure timings at each station. Indian railways issue an official Railway Timetable of each train in every zone about the timings of train at particular station.

Indian railways also have many official websites through which one could check the arrival and departure timings of trains at any station. For checking the time table online one requires to know few things. An internet connection is a must. These websites also gives information on the current running status of the trains and the expected arrival time and departure time of trains currently running.
To check the time table of trains online, one needs to enter a few things like Date of journey, the station code of source station from where he wishes to board the train and the station code of destination. Once such information is given, a list of trains appears which runs between those stations with their arrival and departure timings.
The different zones of Indian railways also issue a train timetable book of the trains running in their zone’s division which contains the arrival and departure timings of the trains. These time table books are issued from time to time and are available at book stall in railways stations and in the market as well.
